Rediscovering hope

I'm rediscovering hope. I'm moving toward the future and stepping away from disfunction. The light at the end of the tunnel that I was told about many long months ago far away in Prague (in 2004?), I have finally caught a glimpse of it and it looks beautiful.

I have found my niche at work (again) and feel like I'm functioning well in my role, but still learning to be more loving to coworkers (as well as trying to be ok with them not being loving back sometimes). There is nothing more stressful in the whole wide world than people and living/working/communicating with people.

All of the stress in the world is created when people interact with other people, but all of the growth is only possible when people interact with other people.

I have plans and I haven't had plans since returning to the States, I feel excited for the things I'm hoping to accomplish, all the more so because I also feel more confident and capable than I did a few months ago.

I'm visiting Regent college in Vancouver. Well, no, I'm visiting S.C. who lives here, but Regent is also cool. And it's re-awakening my desire to move to the North West. I can't move anywhere for at least two and a half years when I'll be done with getting my teaching credential (which I won't start for another year but am in the process of applying and planning and budgeting, etc.). But Washington and Oregon have been on my radar since college I think and the last couple years it has narrowed to focus a bit more on Portland since I have friends there, but the possibilities make me feel so happy. It would be such a gift to be able to live near dear old friends and yet it is beginning to feel sad at leaving my present church home.

Ahh, anyway. I am rediscovering hope as we know it and I feel fine.
