Started putting clothes in a suitcase! (I wonder if I'll end up bringing 2 or 3 suitcases? I'm aiming for just 2)
Ordered a warm medium weight jacket and matching rain shoes to be delivered before I leave. (I have light jackets not warm enough for Portland weather right now and I have a nice coat I'll be bringing but I wanted something casual and warm).
I think a lot of women are like me, you can't have just one coat or one jacket, you want different lengths, different weights. But are men like that?

TO DO - One week to GO!
I spent most of today in my room, which has been my room since I was 10 (we don't own, we rent, so that's something), and I was going through storage boxes. I've been going through storage boxes for months and months. I have suffered from the disease of pack-rat-itus and so I have papers and papers and magazines and books and clothes and mementos and more papers, plane tickets, reciepts, bills. It's been exhausting. Most of it has gone in the trash or the recycle bin, but I still have lots to go through and then there are the piles I've already gone through and gotten rid of half of them but held onto the other half knowing it should go as well but not ready to let go. Ahh, me.

The Fall Semester has finally come to a close at my local City College.
I was taking two classes online, a Spanish class (Spanish 103, which is the third semester of college Spanish), and an Early Childhood Education class (about how the family and community influence a child).
In the last few weeks I started feeling overwhelmed with all of my various responsibilities and time constraints and didn't feel like I was putting enough time into either class. I became resigned to the possibility of only getting Cs, I even worried that I may get lowers grades than that but hoped for at least C.s. But I felt very dissappointed in myself and wished that I was doing better. It was hard to know exactly what grade I was getting so far though, I just FELT like the work I was turning in was not the best that I could do.
In my Spanish class we only had three tests, the first test I got an A, the second test I got 52% and on the final I got 67% but I did got an A on all the homework. I did work hard, I just think I could have done better.
With my final project for the ECE class I ended up turning it in late (it was due at 5pm and I dropped it off about 6:30pm) partly because I was having a lot of problems with my computer and ended up turning in only part of the paper that I had written because my computer was being weird and it wasn't letting me cut and paste all of the text. I wasn't even sure if the Professor would even accept the paper because at the start of the semester she made clear that she would never under any circumstance accept late work. I emailed her right after I slid the paper under her office door and the next day she said she would accept it. I just saw that I got a 93% on the project, unbelievable. And an A for the whole class (a total of 527 out of 550 points).
I'm so glad that I've waited to go back to school, it really does make a difference. When I was in college before I just didn't care as much as I do now about how well I did. And I know that I probably did so well because I did all the work, which I didn't do when in college before.

Well, the date has been set!
...MOVING date that is!
I am moving on December 29th, taking the train with a couple big suitcases and a carry on (just like going overseas with ESI), I'll be staying with a friend who also went with ESI until I find my own place. Then in March when I have my spring break I'll take the return train ride back to my parent's town and then drive back with the remainder of my belongings to move into my new apartment which will have hopefully been found and rented by then.

I have a (minor) broken foot bone
I'm craving chocolate chip cookies
I wish my foot was healed so I could walk in the holiday parade with the Autism society on Friday instead of just watching
I am excited to move and can't wait another three weeks
Will I ever be patient?
